Careers

Today in Whenua we had to create a video explaining the buzz quiz we did to test our personality and what jobs would be good for us I hope you like it.

Careers

  1. Farm worker.

A farm worker has to work through basically any weather to keep the farm up and working. Some of the workers wake up at 6:30 in the morning to drive the tractor around to feed heaps of cows and some stay past 12pm at night just to see if no calves have been born. At calve season you have to work for 18hrs just in case if calves get born and something bad happens.

Pros: You can go hunting on your farm, play with little calves, Drive tractors and motorbikes.

Con’s: Working in bad weather all year round, Always running, Walking, lifting and waking up early in the cold.

What happened to this job in covid-19.

Only some workers are allowed after being tested and cleared. These farms will be still working for us and the shops and to pay their workers.

  1. Builder.

If you want to be a builder, start in year 11-12 in the contusion industry. It's a good job with a pay of $100,000 dollars a year. And if you do that for 5 years there's $500,000 just there. If you start being a builder at 18 then work for 7 years you get $700,000 at the age of 25. And it depends on if you get paid more or less to be wealthy.

Pro’s: Teamwork and having jokes with each other is a problem solver just in case you muck up. And then you can make your own company if you're doing good.

Con’s: Hard sweaty days, high risk of hurting yourself.

What happened to this job in covid-19.

They were only allowed to work if they were cleared of the vaccine and only so much could work.

  1. Plumber/Gasfiter/Drainlayer

A Plumber is a hard job fixing drains getting dirty, working with poo.

Gasfiter is an easy good but putting in the pipe for the gas and if there's a leak you're gonna have to break some of the house to reseal it. A Drainlayer is a nice job if you like heavy machines such as diggers, Dump trucks and cranes for the pipes. So if you like that this is your job and a plumber can actually do all these jobs in this text.

Pro’s: Creative workers, Good problem solvers and most good plumbers end up making their own business.

Con’s: Physical working, Bad injuries if gone wrong.

Related jobs: Roofer, fabrication engineer, mechanical engineer.

What happened to this job in covid-19.

They are allowed to work and only some of the workers and no one can

4.Chef

A good Chef can be recognized like how Gordin ramsy did. To become a good chef, take cooking in highschool. Some chefs up in Auckland cook for the army when they come back from training.

Pro’s: Hands on job, Creative making new and better dishies for custermus

Con’s: Lifting hot plates working in small places.

5. Electrician

An electrician is someone that comes to your house to see if your power is going or not. And if there's a problem they will figure it out and then fix it for you. And when it's done you will get power and the electrician will get paid.

Pro’s: You get to know more about other people and go to fancy house’s.

Today in school we are learning about careers and I have written 5 top jobs I like. And I will be making another post about careers soon so wait for that.

Blue ringed octopus

                                                                Blue-ringed octopus

I'm writing to you about the blue-ringed octopus its got 8 legs one of the venomous octopus's in the world. They have 3 hearts and their ink is poisonous. They have enough venom to kill 26 fully grown men. And they are one of the best oceans great escape artists. If looking for this octopus its bright big blue rings with a yellow skin

Predators.                                                                                                                                                            What are blue-ringed octopus' predators?                                                                                                   They are Seals, Whales, Eels, Birds, Fish and their biggest predators are moral Eels.                                The reason why the moral eel is the blue-ringed octopus's biggest predator because it's faster in attack.

Food diet.                                                                                                                                                            They eat small crustaceans including shrimps, Crabs and they even eat other octopuses which make them a lot bigger.                                                                                                                                                            The reason why the Blue-ringed octopus eats these animals because they are not as powerful as him.

Habitat.                                                                                                                                                               Where do you find the Blue-ringed octopus?                                                                                                     Did you know the Blue-ringed octopus is the most venous octopus? This small cephalopod mollusc lives in the warm, shallow reefs off the coast of Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia and the Philippines. It has a life span of 1 and a half years.

I hope you enjoyed my writing to you about the blue-ringed octopus and remember to look out for them and if you see them be careful because they are the most venoms octopus in the world.

Today my class did some writing about the blue-ringed octopus and it was easy because I knew what I was doing. The one thing that was hard was doing the conclusion but I did it and I am the second dune.
